The Colonel Craig Souza “That I May Serve” Scholarship

The Colonel Craig Souza “That I May Serve” Scholarship (Fund) shall be used to support a scholarship for a full-time Plymouth State University student, in good academic standing.

First preference will be given to a student who it serving honorably as an active member of the US Military, or who is an honorably discharged veteran, or who has served honorably as a first responder. Students majoring in Criminal Justice, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Health Education and Promotion, Social Work, Public Health, and Education are also eligible for this schlolarship.

The recipient must be one of the following: a PSU student who was age 21 or younger at the time of his or her heroic act or a current member of the US armed forces or a honorably discharged veteran (any age) who performed a heroic act; or a family member (who is age 21 or younger at the time of his or her heroic act) of a current US armed forces member or a honorably discharged veteran.

Applicants must also be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen and registered with the Selective Service (if required). If the above criteria cannot be met the scholarship may be awarded to a student who is in Law Enforcement, the Fire Department or a First Responder
