Undergraduate International Student Scholarship

Plymouth State University is pleased to be able to award a limited number of International Student Scholarships to returning undergraduate international students ( holding a F-1 visa) for the academic year. Criteria for receiving the scholarship includes Cultural Exchange, Community Enhancement and Service and Academic Success.

The scholarship is awarded for one academic year; students must re-apply each year. Violations of immigration regulations, university policy, or state and local laws and ordinances are grounds for immediate revocation of the scholarship.

(NOTE: The number of scholarships awarded will depend on availability of funds. All scholarships are awarded for the following academic year, equally split between fall and spring semesters. Students are eligible for this scholarship for 4 years or 8 semesters only.)

Awards from $250 to $2,500 for returning undergraduate PSU international students who exhibit and demonstrate qualities of cultural exchange, community enhancement and academic success. Recipients will be selected based on the following:

· Level of involvement in general, non-athletic* campus activities

· Level of involvement in culturally-oriented campus activities, particularly International Education Week, GEO-sponsored events and activities and outings

· Demonstration of individual outreach and support of fellow PSU students

· Involvement in community

· Academic success and commitment

*Athletic involvement CANNOT be considered as scholarship criteria per NCAA regulations
