Maureen Shine Bateman Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Maureen Shine Bateman Memorial Scholarship Fund is to fund an annual scholarship to be given to one deserving Plymouth State University Childhood Studies major who is seeking certification in Elementary Education.

The award recipient is to be chosen by the Education Department Scholarship Committee on the basis of the following criteria: full-time status; 2.0 or above overall grade point average; sophomore or above class standing; displays attributes of enthusiasm, warmth, dedication to teaching, and willingness to learn and try new teaching techniques; celebrates all children; can serve as a role model for children; and is well spoken and reads widely.
