Jonathan "JC" Richardson '13 Entrepreneurship Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the J.C. Richardson ‘13 Captain’s Challenge Scholarship in Small Business and Entrepreneurship is to provide annual scholarship assistance for tuition and fees of undergraduate students enrolled full-time in the School of Business and who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee chaired by the School of Business and a representative of the Office of Financial Aid.
Specific selection criteria beyond full-time business student/s with financial need will be determined by the committee, as will the number and amount of annual awards. Preference should be given to business students following a small business track or entrepreneurial course of study, or demonstrating that interest in their academic program.

No preference for athletics involvement may be considered. National Collegiate Athletic Association rules specifically restrict the selection committee from considering any criteria or applicant quality demonstrated through athletics. An example of impermissible consideration of athletics would be criteria including ’demonstrated strong work ethic and an applicant who demonstrates that strong work ethic through involvement in athletics.
